Thattathin Marayathu- Just another love story!

Take a love story from 1970's or 80's, replace the old dialogues with some contemporary dialogues ,make it visually appealing and fill one-fourth of the run time with some hit songs....then you have a superhit love story ready for you .Vineeth Srinivas has done just the same in Thattathin Marayath .
A hindu boy loving muslim girl, trying to impress her, getting knocked out off the house, staying with friends, friends helping him to face all the difficulties achieve his love...We have seen these scenes umpteen times in the past and this film does not offer anything new.But it has its moments mainly in the first half, as ther are some scenes which evokes laughter, but after a while it follows the same old love story track.and when the film gets over we wonder what was need of the friends as there was actually no struggle or difficulty in their love but they were doing all sorts of things just to extent the duration of the movie and to reach the climax. The main problem is that the story is too imaginary and there is noting original or genuine in it.

The factor which really saves the movie is the stunning cinematograph by Jomon T John.Because of him even some ordinary visuals seems to be refreshing.Out of the 2 hours about 30-40 minutes comprises of songs and thus they try to cover the boring scenes .Luckily the songs by Shaan are beautiful and stays with you.
Nivin Pauly has done his best for this film and he emotes well in all the scenes.Because of his acting , the film looks average at least. The heroine Isha Talwar's job is to look good and luckily she has very few scenes and dialogues.IF she had dialogues it would have been a disaster.Manoj K Jayan miscast and is over the top at times.A good love story will have both hero and heroine having equal roles, then only their chemistry could be worked out(Aniyathipravu, VTV, Bommarallu). But here the hero is given all the duties as the heroine does not has any role.
And to end this as a feel good movie ,everything goes smoothy at the end..heroine's father, hero's family starts supporting him without any specific reason at the end who were silent throughout the movie.
Thus Thattatin Marayath has a well decorated exterior but nothing creative inside at all.Its the deja vu of the films of 1970's and 80's.It is another overrated movie from Vineeth.Only the people who are still in the fantasy world of love will enjoy this film.Cinematography and songs makes it a one time watch.
The only reason for it being a hit is that we have not seen a complete love story in the last 15 years after Aniyathipravu!!
